About SED

The First Scientific Conference ‘Economic Development and Effective Business Management - Challenges of Sustainable Regional Development’ - was organised on 20th and 21st January, 2006, in Užice, the Republic of Serbia, following the initiative of the management of the Post-Secondary Technical School in Užice to mark its 30th work anniversary. Eighty papers were presented, whereas a hundred and forty authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Second Scientific Conference ‘Economic Development and Effective Business Management - Challenges of Sustainable Regional Development’ was held on 21st and 22nd December, 2007, in Užice, the Republic of Serbia. More than ninety papers were presented, whereas a hundred and fifty authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

Then, the management of the Business and Technical College of Applied Sciences decided to organize an international conference.

The First International Conference

The First International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2008’ was held on 17th and 18th September, 2008, in Užice, Serbia. Ninety papers were presented, and a hundred and fifty authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Second International Conference

The Second International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2009’ was held on 14th and 15th September, 2009, in Užice, Serbia. More than eighty papers were presented, whereas the number of authors and co-authors exceeded one hundred.

The Third International Conference

The Third International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2010’ was held on 7th and 8th October, 2010, in Užice, Serbia. A hundred and twenty-one papers were presented, whereas a hundred and ninety-five authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Fourth International Conference

The Fourth International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2011’ was held on 7th and 8th October, 2011, in Užice, Serbia. One hundred and forty-five papers were presented, whereas two hundred and forty-three authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Fifth International Conference

The Fifth International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2012’ was held as a mini jubilee, on 4th and 5th October, 2012, in Užice, Serbia. One hundred and forty eight papers were presented, whereas over two hundred and seventy authors and co-authors, thirty-seven of whom were from abroad, took part in the Conference.

The Sixth International Conference

The Sixth International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2013’ was held on 4th and 5th October, 2013, in Užice, Serbia. A hundred and twenty-six papers were presented, whereas over two hundred authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Seventh International Conference

The Seventh International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2014’ was held on 3rd and 4th October, 2014, in Užice, Serbia. One hundred and six papers were presented, whereas over two hundred authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Eighth International Conference

The Eighth International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2015’ was held on 2nd and 3rd October, 2015, in Užice, Serbia. One hundred and six papers were presented, whereas over two hundred authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.

The Ninth International Conference

The Ninth International Conference ‘Science and Higher Education in Function of Sustainable Development - SED 2016’ was held on 30th September and 1st October, 2016, in Užice, Serbia. One hundred and twenty-two papers were presented, whereas over two hundred authors and co-authors took part in the Conference.
